This 40mm O-ring fits the Internal Floating Piston (IFP) on specific KYB/HPG applications. It is most commonly used in the large-volume Reservoirs of C-36 shocks or the Main Body of C-40 shocks.

Critical Seal for Piggyback & Remote Res Shocks
If you are rebuilding a KYB shock with a large-bore reservoir, this is likely the IFP O-ring you need. A failing IFP O-ring allows nitrogen gas to bypass the piston and aerate the oil, causing immediate shock fade.
